This page is for education. DefiExchange does not offer RWA trading or cloud mining on this website, does not give investment advice, and does not recommend that you use either. Both are offered by a different company, KuCoin. Nobody can promise you a profit from them, and you can lose some or all of the money you put in.
What is RWA?
RWA means real-world assets: things that exist outside crypto, like company shares, stock indices (for example the S&P 500) and gold. Some crypto platforms now offer RWA markets, where you can trade a contract whose price follows one of these assets, paid for and settled in USDT, around the clock.
Important things to understand:
- You usually do not own the real asset. A futures-style RWA contract follows the price. You do not get shares, voting rights, dividends or physical gold.
- It can use leverage. Leverage means trading a bigger position than the money you put in. It can make gains bigger, and it makes losses bigger too. A small move against you can wipe out the money you put in (this is called liquidation).
- Prices can jump. When the real market is closed (nights, weekends, holidays), the contract can still move, and the price can open far from where it closed.
- Costs add up. Trading fees and funding payments are charged. Check them before you start.
What is cloud mining?
Mining is how some coins, such as Bitcoin, are created and secured, using powerful computers that use a lot of electricity. Cloud mining lets you pay a company for a share of that computing power (called hashrate) for a set period, instead of buying and running the machines yourself. KuCoin’s version is called KuMining.
- You choose a coin, an amount of hashrate and a service period, and pay a hashrate fee upfront.
- Electricity charges are deducted over time. So you keep paying while the contract runs.
- Output is not fixed or guaranteed. What you receive depends on how hard the network is to mine, how the machines perform, electricity costs and the price of the coin. KuCoin itself says cloud mining does not provide fixed output or guaranteed profitability.
- It is possible to receive less value than you paid in total.
Trading
Active. You decide when to open and close. Can use leverage. Price moves fast.
Needs attention, a plan, and a stop-loss.
Hashrate service
Passive in effort, fixed period. You pay upfront and ongoing electricity.
Read the length, fees and rules before you pay.
How people get set up, step by step
You do not need to be an expert, but do go slowly. The whole idea is: buy USDT here, then use it on the platform that offers RWA or mining.
Buy USDT on DefiExchange
Create your free account, verify your identity as asked, and order USDT with an Interac e-Transfer or a bank wire. Use the price calculator to see the cost first. Choose a network that the other platform supports (BEP20 or TRC20 are common) and remember which one you chose.

KuCoin is not available to everyone. It is not available in some places, including Ontario, Canada, where the securities regulator has barred it from operating. Rules differ by country and province and can change. It is your responsibility to check that you are allowed to use it where you live, and to follow its identity checks.
Open an account directly with the platform you chose, and finish its verification.
If you decide to go ahead, you can sign up with our link:
Open a KuCoin account →Disclosure: this is a referral link. If you sign up and trade through it, DefiExchange may earn a commission from KuCoin. It costs you nothing extra and we are not paid for what you choose to do. You can sign up without it.
Send your USDT across, carefully
On the platform, find Deposit for USDT and pick the same network you chose on DefiExchange. Copy the deposit address. On DefiExchange, send a small test amount first, check it arrives, then send the rest. A wrong network or a mistyped address can lose the money for good. Read our safety guide too.
Start small and learn
- RWA: try the smallest amount you would be fine losing. Prefer low leverage (or none), use isolated margin so one trade cannot touch the rest of your balance, and set a stop-loss before you open.
- Mining: read the service period, the electricity fee, and the order rules, then compare the total cost with what you could realistically get back.
Never borrow money to do this, and never put in money you need for rent, food, tax or bills.
Want to practise first?
The DefiExchange trading terminal has a free demo (practice) account with virtual USDT on live prices, so you can learn how orders, stops and losses feel without risking real money. Practice results are simulated and do not predict real results.

You can lose some or all of your money
- Leveraged trading can lose more than you expected in minutes. Positions can be closed by the platform automatically (liquidation).
- Cloud mining output is not guaranteed and you pay costs while it runs.
- Crypto prices are volatile. USDT is meant to hold a steady value but has risks too.
- Transfers on a blockchain cannot be reversed. A wrong address or network usually means the money is gone.
- A platform can freeze accounts, change terms, or be restricted in your area. Platforms like these are not covered by deposit insurance.
- Scammers target people who are new to this. Nobody from DefiExchange will ever DM you offering returns, or ask for your password, recovery phrase or API keys.
- Tax: gains, mining income and trading activity may be taxable where you live. Keep records and ask an accountant.
Common questions
Does DefiExchange hold my RWA or mining position? No. Those are held by the other platform, under your own account there. We only sell you USDT.
Can I see RWA prices in the DefiExchange terminal? We are adding a read-only RWA price board to the trading terminal, and trading for members we switch on. It may not be available yet, or to everyone, and it also depends on where you live.
Is this advice? No. We are not telling you to buy, trade or mine anything. This is general information only.
